Bloodied… Beaten… and NAILED to a CROSS - a Dying Jesus looked at those around Him and spoke His Final Words as a Man! I think you will find some Powerful Truths in those Last Words that Jesus Spoke! Sunday Snapshot… (3) “I THIRST…”
John 19:28… Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I AM THIRSTY.” -- The SOURCE of LIVING WATER was in need of WATER - much like our SOUL "THIRSTS" for RIGHTEOUSNESS!
The GRACE OF GOD is not just limited to an ACT OF GOD at the time of our SALVATION... it goes beyond to MEET OUR NEEDS in ever moment we have a NEED!
The GRACE OF GOD is the LIFE of the SAVIOR coursing through the SOULS of BELIEVERS to SUSTAIN US THROUGH those things that MIGHT NOT or CANNOT CHANGE!
To experience GOD’S “IN-SPITE-OF” GRACE… we must allow ourselves to FEEL the “THIRST” that’s been CREATED by our PAST!
Our PAST must be EMBRACED... before it can be OVERCOME!
